Smart Vectors To Tracked Mask

Generates a mask based on Smart Vector renders, that track along.

Using SmartVectors to drive a simple mask that follows along. It is working like magic… most of the time.

There are so many uses for the Smart Vectors. And even more are surfacing every day and yes, most of the time they do work like magic.
Recently I was working on project where we had to deal with a lot of face markers. I really mean a lot. That’s how I came up with this gizmo. After setting the smart vectors connections (I would also suggest pre-rendering them to keep a consistent result and fast responsive times) you can pick a point to generate a mask that will track along based on the smart vectors. (The Output of the Vector Distort node should be set to ‘ST Map’).

Ingredients

1 Length of footage
The footage can be ‘processed’ through some of the pre-designed toolsets from Foundry for generating Smart Vectors, to help with the resulting Smart Vectors quality.

1 Length of Pre-Rendred SmartVectors
It helps to speed things up and have a consistent result when you pre-render the smart vectors. Also You can bump the Vector details.
