I am always looking forward for the next challenge. And the best recipe for homemade pizza.
Crafting Visuals, Telling Stories, and Lending a Hand.
Hi, I’m Martin (marto).
I am a Senior 2D Compositor with a passion for bringing complex visual narratives to life. Whether I am fine-tuning scenes in Nuke and Final Cut Pro, building out environments in Unreal Engine, or experimenting with ComfyUI, I love the technical and creative challenge of making every frame perfect.
Currently, I’m based in Melbourne on a year-long professional adventure, soaking up the local creative scene and taking my digital workflows to the next level.
Behind the Scenes For me, creativity doesn’t stop at the edges of a screen. I am deeply invested in storytelling across multiple mediums. Recently, that has included mapping out a documentary film about traditional watermelon jam production in the village of Smilec, and developing the visual concepts for a children’s illustrated book series called The Volunteers.
I firmly believe that in work, art, and life, you should always strive to give 100%… except when donating blood. (Which I actually do on a regular basis, so I try to keep at least a little bit for myself).
Beyond the Screen When I’m not rendering timelines or designing character concepts, you will usually find me outdoors. I am a proud member of the Sofia Volunteer Formation. From disaster response training to public rescue demonstrations, I believe in showing up for the community when it counts.
To recharge from both the screen time and the field exercises, I spend my downtime hiking in the mountains and practicing yoga to keep everything in balance.
Let’s Create Something Great Whether you want to talk about visual effects, documentary filmmaking, or just want to swap mountain hiking trails, I’d love to connect.

Past Experiences
Senior Compositor, Weta FX, MLB
(2026 – present)
I am back in Australia, baby. This time in Weta FX, Melbourne.
Senior Compositor, Framestore LDN
(2020 – 2023)
The COVID-19 pandemic got my situated back in my home country – Bulgaria. During this period I worked remotely for Framestore London. It was quite an interesting experience as I got to see my colleagues for the first time at the wrap party for The Little Mermaid. Other projects that I got to work on include Tom & Jerry The Movie (I am a huge fan of the duo), Mickey 17, Wheel of Time and others
Key artist, Compositing at Mill Film, ADE
(2019 – 2020)
It was a really interesting and enriching experience for me to work at Mill Film, Adelaide. There were a lot of challenging compositing tasks To tackle some of them I did a small gizmo (check the KITCHEN page).
Studio Supervisor at Nu Boyana FX, SOF
(2017 – 2019)
My second supervision role. I was supervising all the aspects of the studio life; from on-set supervision, shots breakdown and estimates, look-dev for some of shots, compositing and final polishing. Always following the best industry practices and delivering of state of the art shots and sequences.
Compositor at MPC, LON
(2014 – 2014)
I had the pleasure to work on Guardinas of the Galaxy, Vol.1. There is nothing more to say about it. It was a life-rocking experience that I will never forget. It was A-MA-ZING…
Compositor at WorldWide FX, SOF
(2012 – 2014)
After mastering the ‘invisible art of matchmoving’ I decided to move to something that is not that much ‘invisible’. First I started helping out the compositing team for a couple of shows until finally moving to full-time compositing job.
Matchmove artist at WorldWide FX, SOF
(2010 – 2014)
That was my entry job into the VFX industry. I already had the basic knowledge and now it was the time for me to put that knowledge to the test and improve my skills. Even though it is an ‘invisible art’, matchmoving gave me a lot of skills that I still turn to in my everyday compositing. And I am also a 3DE4 certified professional.
